Lathe
Mechanical lathe is a machine tool that allows you to machine pieces of geometric form of revolution. These machine tools operate by turning the part to be machined attached to a 3 or 4 nut plate head, this having the individual nuts, or fixed between the centering counter points while one or several cutting tools are pressed in an adjustable movement of advance against the surface of the piece, removing material, called chip, according to the appropriate technical conditions. It is an extremely versatile machine used in the manufacturing or finishing of parts. For this, plates are used to fix the piece to be worked. These plates can be three nuts, if the piece is cylindrical, or four nuts, if the profile of the piece is rectangular.
